Registration is now open for the Nova Scotia Workplace Safety and Insurance System (WSIS) 2022 Annual Meeting.
The meeting will be presented in a hybrid format with attendees welcome in person or via webinar.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. in the Lakelands Room at the new Halifax Tower Hotel, located at 15 Lakelands Boulevard in Halifax.

Co-hosted by Ava Czapalay, Deputy Minister, Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration and Saeed El-Darahali, Chair, Board of Directors, Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, the Annual Meeting will reflect on System performance and offer an opportunity for System leaders and participants to talk about what lies ahead.
This year’s meeting will also welcome a panel of experts to talk about workplace psychological safety.
The Workplace Safety and Insurance System includes workers, employers, the agencies—Workers’ Advisers Program (WAP), Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal (WCAT), Occupational Health and Safety Branch (OHS) and the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB)—and others who provide services in the System. Its mission is to work together to help keep people healthy and safe at work, to insure against loss and to support workers’ rehabilitation. More information available on the WSIS website.
