The Office of the Worker Counsellor provides advocacy services for all workers in the province. We welcome input from workers and their representatives about their areas of concern and suggestions for improvement.

The Worker Counselor meets regularly with Injured Workers Associations and the Workers’ Advisers Program staff, participates in stakeholder groups that offer input on things such as reforms and enhancements to the system, new manuals, brochures and advertising campaigns.

The Office of the Worker Counsellor has produced a report on the Early and Safe Return to Work Program. The core material for this report was gathered at a Forum: Work as Therapy held on June 25, 2011. This report has been distributed to all members of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Directors.

The Office of the Worker Counsellor staff contribute expertise to policy papers as requested. The Worker Counsellor also accepts requests for speaking engagements and enjoys doing so whenever the schedule permits.

These services are offered free of charge.
